Missing My New York

Even though I am enjoying the show, I really can't wait to be back home in New York City.

I got a few phone calls from the children wanting to book me for a few upcoming gigs; particularly New York's Black Gay Pride. You know I have to be there for my people. It's also my honor to represent. Here is the tea, darling: On August 3, 2006 I will be making a special benefit appearance at the opening night of Life - a new African-American dance club in Harlem. Also, that weekend I will be at Stonewall for their annual "White Party"; which is in celebration of Black Gay Pride. It will be fun, and as much as they were there for me - cheering me on during The Heritage of Pride, I wan't to be there for them too. This is why I Love New York - it comes in every color, shape, and size. Its ovah!

People of Color in Crisis, Inc., (POCC) hosts the 4th Annual Pride in the City celebration to build and affirm the Black Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community in New York City by providing opportunities for cultural celebration, networking, education and awareness, and access to health services while increasing members' connection to the community and its resources.
